Kate Godber - Wills, Probate, LPA, Tax and Trusts

Kate trained at Harvey Ingram LLP (now part of Shakespeares – the second largest Midlands’ law firm) and worked as part of the award-winning Private client team for seven years. She has worked for EHL since 2014 and is the joint practice group lead for the private client team.

Kate specialises in drafting Wills and Codicils, Administration of Estates including those with complex tax issues or foreign assets, Deeds of Variation, Trust implementation and administration, Deeds of appointment and retirement of trustees, Elderly client matters such as Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection.

Kate qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor in November 2012 and now also offers specialist tax advice to individuals. This can include inheritance tax planning and advice on the tax efficiency of trusts.

Kate is approachable and compassionate when dealing with matters that some clients find difficult to discuss.  She believes in giving clear, bespoke advice to her clients. She is keen to ensure that full advice has been given and this is demonstrated in the holistic way in which she provides proactive solutions to any issues that may arise during discussions.

Kate is based in Market Harborough but attends clients across the Midlands and further afield,  if required.
