2013 is set to see a great number of changes to employment law. The ethos behind the changes is based on the government desire to deregulate and simplify employment law, encouraging employers to take on employees and hopefully stimulate the economy as a result.

The key changes are listed below, but we wait to see if they will all be implemented this year.

In March 2013 the Third Party harassment and discrimination questionnaire is due to be repealed meaning employers will not be able to require third parties to complete discrimination questionnaires.

The requirement on consultation on Consultation collective redundancy reduced 90 – 45

Public interest test for whistleblowing

Parental leave changes / flexible working changes
