Another busy and varied week here at the Wharf with Wills, conveyancing and Family work coming in. A big thank you to all those who’ve had the good sense to trust EHL. We do have the reputation (and awards to back it up) for going the extra mile. It was a mile and a half on Wednesday when our client got a lift from home to bring us his paperwork only to realise, as his lift vanished off to work that he’d left most of his stuff at home! It would have been a long warm walk there and back so what could I do but give him a lift! We believe in getting the job done.
The canal is busying up. It’s been a bit United Nations here with visitors from Israel, the good old US of A (southern half) and a French family all in one day. I was hoping to be forced to help the guys at the canal boat hire company to help with instructions in French but malheureusement they seemed to manage. Maybe next time. I’m hoping to convince these overseas visitors to get out and about in the town rather than just on the canal. We were talking about this at the chamber of commerce last Wednesday and when I came out of the Angel at 8.15 just a look down the high street made me realise how easy it is to take for granted what a great place we live in . Did you know we have been a Fair Trade town for years? No, nor did I. I’ll find out more about this.
I’m itching to do one of my legendary talks on prenuptial and cohabitation agreements so if there are any organisations locally who would like a young charismatic and handsome guest speaker give me a ring .Other family law related topics can easily be covered. (Note to self: must get photo off the website before this goes out). We have plans for family and other law related seminars and talks in the pipeline so watch this space, you lucky people. Speak to you next week.
