How we are regulated

New transparency rules, requiring regulated firms to publish price and service information on their websites, came into effect on 6 December 2018.

At Edward Hands and Lewis we are committed to making sure we provide our customers and potential customers with all the information they need to make a decision about which firm to engage with. We adhere all the guidelines laid out by the SRA about information on services, processes and fees.

The new regulations from the SRA are designed to ensure our website visitors are provided with personalised information confirming our firm is regulated and outlining the protections this brings, the badge is expected to become a mandatory requirement during Spring 2019.

Under the rules, all regulated law firms are required from 6 December, to proactively publish information on prices they charge and what these include, across a number of common services. Not all services listed by the SRA are practiced at Edward Hands and Lewis, below is an outline of the services we offer:

• residential conveyancing
probate (uncontested) (link to fees)
employment tribunals (claims for unfair or wrongful dismissal)
