Regulated in the Public Interest
Edward Hands & Lewis Solicitors Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). The SRA sets and enforces standards for solicitors and law firms in England and Wales to protect the public interest.
In December 2018, the SRA introduced its Transparency Rules, requiring all regulated law firms to publish clear pricing information for specified areas of legal work. We have complied with these rules since their introduction and publish our fee information in full on our fees page.
As a regulated firm, we are bound by the SRA Standards and Regulations. These include the SRA Code of Conduct for Firms, the SRA Accounts Rules, and the SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules. Any breach of these regulations may be investigated by the SRA and can result in disciplinary action.

Published Pricing
We publish our prices and service information for regulated work areas in full compliance with the SRA Transparency Rules.
Competence & Quality
All fee earners hold appropriate qualifications and are supervised in accordance with the SRA Standards and Regulations.
Client Money Protection
Client funds are held in a dedicated client account, fully covered by the SRA Compensation Fund.
Professional Indemnity
We hold professional indemnity insurance in accordance with SRA Indemnity Insurance Rules.
